Getting Started
Everything you need to know before registering as a driver.
What is DriverNet?
DriverNet is an online platform designed to
connect drivers with people and organisations
looking for driving services.
Depending on your availability and experience,
you may be able to consider on-call, part-time
or full-time driving opportunities.
How do I become a DriverNet driver?
Start by completing the online driver
application. Provide accurate information
about yourself, your driving experience,
licence and availability.
Driver information may be reviewed before
you are considered for suitable assignments.
What documents do I need?
You should have a valid driving licence and
the personal and identification information
required during registration.
Additional documents may be required depending
on the nature of a particular assignment.
Do I need my own car?
Not necessarily. The requirement can depend
on the type of driving assignment.
Always check the specific requirements of an
opportunity before accepting it.
Can an experienced driver apply?
Yes. Experienced drivers are welcome to
register, provided they meet the applicable
requirements for the work they wish to undertake.

Can I do both part-time and on-call driving?
Your options depend on your availability and
the requirements of the assignments you accept.
The important thing is to commit only to work
that you can reliably complete.
Can I choose which assignments I accept?
Availability and assignment procedures can
vary. Before accepting any assignment, review
its location, timing, duration and payment terms.
Can I work only on weekends?
Weekend availability can be useful for
part-time or occasional driving work.
Opportunities depend on current requirements
in your area.
What Makes a Good Driver?
Professional driving is about more than knowing
how to operate a vehicle. Clients also expect
reliability, responsibility and respectful behaviour.
- Valid driving licence
- Safe driving habits
- Punctuality
- Good knowledge of local roads
- Professional behaviour
- Good communication
- Respect for the client's vehicle
- Ability to follow agreed instructions
Trips, Payment & Overtime
Understand the financial terms before you begin a trip.
How much can I earn as a driver?
Driver earnings can vary considerably depending
on the assignment, location, duration, working
hours and other agreed terms.
There is no single earning figure that applies
to every DriverNet driver or every trip.
How is the payment for a trip decided?
Payment should be understood before the driver
accepts the assignment. The agreed amount may
depend on factors such as driving, night driving,
overnight stay, meals, accommodation, return
travel and other applicable charges.
What happens if a trip takes longer than expected?
Any applicable overtime or additional charges
should be clarified before the trip begins.
Drivers should not assume that additional
working time will automatically be paid at
a particular rate.
Should I know the overtime rate before accepting a trip?
Yes. It is good practice for both the driver
and the client to understand the applicable
overtime terms before the trip begins.
Clear terms help prevent disagreements when
a journey extends beyond the expected duration.
Are night-driving charges different?
Some assignments may have separate terms for
night driving or overnight requirements.
Always check the trip terms before accepting
the assignment.
Before You Accept a Driving Assignment
Take a moment to confirm the important details.
A clear understanding at the beginning can prevent
problems later.
- Date and reporting time
- Pickup location
- Destination and route
- Expected duration
- Vehicle and driving requirements
- Agreed payment
- Overtime terms
- Night-driving or overnight requirements
- Return travel arrangements, where applicable
Driver Safety
Your safety should always come before completing a trip.
What should I do if I feel unsafe during a trip?
Use your judgement and prioritize your personal
safety. Move to a safe location where possible
and contact the appropriate support or emergency
service if the situation requires immediate help.
What should I do if the client changes the trip requirements?
Discuss the change before proceeding if it
affects the duration, destination, driving
conditions or payment. Make sure both sides
understand any additional terms.
What if the trip is cancelled?
Follow the applicable cancellation procedure
and keep a record of the communication and
agreed terms.
